Rue de Savoie, in  the accomodation of the station of Eaux Vives in Geneva. In these walls the brothers Dufaux designed airoplan with which Armand Dufaux achieved the first overflight over the Geneva lake in the longitudinal direction. That was around 1910. 1946, EDALCO, define the names of the founders of the enterprise, begins with its activities. The rent holds 39 years. One feels 1985 restricted a little and the enterprise pulls itself into modern location into an industrial zone.

In the start time the basic work connected by studies, developments and technical constructions, purchase, sales and implementation of all patents and licenses exists with export, import, trade and agencies. That is summarized it, what is written in the trade register of Geneva.

The company has several phases of the evolution in its past broke through, at its start was the production of gasoline filled fire lighters and pocket atomizers. This activity developed favourably. The development of the gas fire lighter, assessed the house to turn to the mechanics and the subcontracting. In Geneva important enterprises as HISPANO SUIZA, HISPANO OERLIKON, SIP, TAVARO, KUSTNER, LE CERN, SECHERON, etc... were and are still their customers.

In January 1970 the current management bought EDALCO SA while maintaining and improving the possibilities for employment. At the same time it entered intensively into the development and production of own tapping apparatuses "EDALCO", "EDALMATIC" and "EDALTOUR". Which at that time an absolute piece of news in the technique and quality of the tapping meant. 

1975 came the first chip breaker attachment from production. These apparatuses with the label "Rotocoupe" were developed and manufactured exclusively by EDALCO.These apparatusses fonctions against to the theories of metalworking. This completely new product, in a revolutionary manner in the epoch of their development, are still used with success. They do have a world patent and do not know competition. 

Today our enterprise possesses very modern production, which updates itself inexorably and a high quality, as also a fast supply guarantees directly from our stocks. The company is specialized in the tapping engineering, however it manufactures also turning tools, but also different special products.

Our apparatuses are very carefully controlled with the most modern methods, from the development to the final product.

That will be probably the reason, why the large automobile industries, with the production of its auto, give their confidence into our apparatuses. Thus Mercedes, BMW, VOLKSWAGEN, General Motors (GM) belong, like also Renault to these final consumers. Some of these apparatuses work day and night, in order to manufacture the fascinating 12 cylinder engines of Mercedes or also BMW.
